Chronicles of a Transient Rambler is a journal intended for sharing my experiences on the road and abroad with my friends and family home in Vermont and around the world. Growing up in Vermont was a gift providing a close-knit and nurturing community in an idyllic setting to capture my imagination. Its provincial nature however, also contributed to my compulsion to travel, though it would be unfair to overlook the encouragement of my mother and father, who are truly my inspiration.
I am a mechanical engineer by trade so traveling is not necessarily what I do for a living, but rather what I enjoy to do otherwise. I also enjoy the outdoors, photography, my dog Royal and my old Land Cruiser both for where it’s taken me and where it hasn’t yet.
I am currently working in Afghanistan for a NGO in the disability sector.
Hi Gehn,
A major snowfall has just begun here in New Hampshire…and all over New England. It is beautiful, especially mixed with the fall colors of the trees. We are thinking about you and hope you are safe and well. Your photographs are stunning and I look forward to reading and looking at the descriptions of your activities.Halloween greetings from all of us! Tina and Bob
